I would like a session on basic music terminology.
I'm a rookie and while I have picked up on a few music terms a lot of what is said on the Wednesday YouTube sessions goes over my head. For example what makes a chord major or minor. What is inversion? What is a triad? What is a chromatic scale? These are just a few examples.

Figuring out a melody line by ear
For example, my friend is singing a blues song and wants me to record a 12 bar solo... I like to start with the melody line and then deviate from that. So I would like the ability to figure out melody lines for a song, when I know the key and the feel of the song.

Octave Chords
I would like to know how to accommodate a smaller hand when trying to play an octave chord. I'm learning "You Raise Me Up" advanced (biting it off piece by piece very slowly) and the octave chords are very difficult for me to reach.
