Enhancement Request to introduce a Practice Mode like PianoMarvel
Operating System = Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, SP1
Computer = Intel Core i7 CPU @3.40GHz, 32GB RAM, NVIDIA Quadro M4000
Keyboard = Roland RD-88
I would like Playground Sessions to have a Practice Mode like PianoMarvel.
PianoMarvel has a Practice Mode and a Play Mode.
In Practice Mode, there is no set tempo. Rather, the program waits for you to study the notation and press the right key before advancing to the next note. I find this immensely useful while learning to sight read. I don’t feel rushed to keep up with a tempo.
When I get confident in Practice Mode, I switch over to the Play Mode and set a Tempo that I am comfortable with.
I have been a long time user of PianoMarvel. This is the single most critical feature that I find missing in Playground Sessions.

This is huge. People who have not used this mode, do not understand the benefit. It really helps to be able to figure out your hand positions and which fingers to use over a section of music. When people use sheet music, they are often doing this but just do not get feedback that they are actually hitting the right notes. I have seen some people complain that they do not want this feature, but really they do not have to use it. I think you will find that this feature will make your app much more user friendly. I use both PGS and Piano Marvel. Each has their strengths and weaknesses.
I will add that playing in slow or really slow mode compared with a practice mode is aggravating. In slow mode, it takes forever to get through the section you are working on. It may only be a few notes that you are having trouble with. In a practice mode, you work through the section at your speed! It really speeds up learning the piece of music. I know, because i use it ALL THE TIME in piano marvel. In fact, at this point, i just use Playground sessions mostly to learn a song because you have a great song catalog. I use Piano Marvel method which is about the same as your bootcamp but it has the practice mode which speeds things up.
I see that this is not one of the most popular requests in here. I think that might be because people do not understand what it does really or the benefit.
