Include more piano keyboard shortcuts.
With 7 users having requested this separately on the forums, this is tied for the most popular request.
Users want more functionality with their digital piano / keyboard to navigate their lessons without having to touch their computer keyboard or iPad.
Some suggestions are: Play, Next Lesson.
Right now we only have retry, or move to the next segment.
Users might also be wanting to configure their own keyboard shortcuts.

Improvisation Mode
Byron and I have been brainstorming the best practice experiences for learning improvisation (to support an upcoming course). We’d like to explore the possibility of having blank measures but having a set of possible correct notes that could get scored. For example, let’s say the user learns that any white key would sound good over a certain chord progression. The follow up practice could be the progression in the backing track, and the user could play any white key and it would be marked correct. Any black key would be marked wrong. Wondering if something like that would be possible…

Search by playing keyboard notes
Allow people to search for lessons and songs by playing a sequence of notes or chords on the piano keyboard. For note sequences, this could be done simply based on note order (probably simpler to implement) or incorporate timing as well.

Have practice time during loops, or if the user stops, count towards time practiced.
5 users have separately requested for this feature to be added.
Users, in general, want more credit given towards their attention while practicing.

Shortcut To Turn Piano Sound On And Off

One other thing I would LOVE to see in the software, is a shortcut button to turn piano sound on and off. There are lots of times when I will listen to the DEMO when beginning a new lesson, but it's quite cumbersome to click through so many screens (before and after) to turn piano sound on and off.

Progressive Lesson Segments

When learning all the sections for a full song, could we get a section about every 2nd or third section where we have to play all we have learned so far in one lesson. So we are always adding to the sections we have learned already. I tend to lose some of the previous lesson while I am studying so hard on the one I am working on.
