  1. Custom feedback color settings are missing

    In current ship, the feedback colors could be set via Advanced Settings. This feature appears to be missing from the new application.

  2. What issues (if any) have been addressed/resolved in the new beta version (3.0.40)?

    I just noticed that the beta version number has now changed to 3.0.40. What changes have been incorporated into this newer beta version?

  3. can't remove finger numbers

    I can't remove the finger numbers any longer. I only like to use them as a reference, not have them permanently.

  4. Resets to default every time I start the app

    When starting the app it resets to default settings
    before I would just click on the app and it would open with the last thing I was working on.

    Now I have to type in username and password
    click through all the start up tool tips
    Setup piano in the app
    go into settings and put all the settings back to how I have them
    then find the song or lesson I was working.

  5. Courses for scales do not have finger numbers colored correctly

    Text in scales lessons mention finger numbers highlighted in red and blue to indicate when to pivot, but all numbers are black. The production version has the numbers in the proper color.

  6. Rookie change hand positions

    As a rookie, I would love to be able to make a red mark in the music to remind me to change hand positions. Perhaps there could be a choice in the drop down menu with the finger numbers and note names. Or the ability to draw in the music.

    Popular rookie shorts - River flows in you - Rookie Moderate - lesson 4 (Section 2 RH) not loading. The sheet music is showing, but the arrow to start never becomes available. Instead the spinner stays. Works fine in the original app

  8. Display Resolution

    There appears to be a lower screen resolution on the beta version. specifically when music screen is displayed. The lines and text are not as sharp and the background color has an off white or gray cask. I verified this with a side by side comparison on the same screen.

  9. Differ missed notes from improperly played notes

    When playing a wrong note both the note that was missed and the incorrect note that was played are drawn with the same red note head.

    This makes it difficult to tell what the correct not was to understand and fix the problem.

    This is particularly troublesome when both notes make sense - for example, when the same note pattern occurs multiple times with subtle differences.

    Current behaviour:
    Missed and wrong notes are both displayed with the same colour

    Requested behaviour:
    Missed and wrong notes display with different colours

  10. keyboard at the bottom missing and no pgs store

    I dont see a way to get to the PGS store. I also dont see the keyboard indicator at the bottom on any of the lessons.

  11. Vertical Notes Highway (Synthesia View)

    Hi!

    I understand well, that the app wants to teach Piano AND Sightreading. - However, I'd appreciate an additional view/mode for displaying the notes on a vertical note highway, just like Synthesia.

    Each of these modes has its own advantages, therefore just let the user decide if he wants to learn a specific song with or without practicing sightreading at the same time.

  12. Feature Request: Variable Video Speed Playback Option

    The video lessons are lovely but they're pretty slow paced and didactic. It would be great if we could control the speed of playback the way you can on most online video platforms today. Alternatively, non-native English speakers may prefer to have the videos play more slowly as well. Typical speed offerings on other platforms are .5x-2.x.

  13. Saved volume settings not being retained

    I turn the backing track on and off occasionally but the volume that I saved in Setting is not retained - it reverts back to default 80%.

  14. scroll bar includes keyboard image

    Windows 10 laptop. The scroll bar includes the key board. This means I can't scroll down to see the complete song. I still can use arrows to see the full song. But this makes no sense to me. The keyboard image is very long, so there is always a scroll bar because of this.

    Operating System = Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, SP1
    Computer = Intel Core i7 CPU @3.40GHz, 32GB RAM, NVIDIA Quadro M4000
    Monitors = 3 Dell UltraSharp U2412M, 1920 x 1200, connected via DisplayPort
    Keyboard = Roland RD-88
    Connection = USB-MIDI, wired.

    I appreciate that the Playground Sessions Beta 3 software for Windows is compatible with Windows 7. I have no desire to upgrade my OS to Windows 10/11 on my music PC.

    I like the clean and uncluttered look and feel of the new User Interface.

  16. intro says iPad

    If I am using the Windows app, why does the Intro screen for "Connect your keyboard" mention everything about iPad and nothing about Windows? "To connect, plug in the cables required for your keyboard and iPad.
    Keyboard cables include USB or MIDI. Apple Lightning to USB Camera adapter for older iPads, and Apple USB-C adapter for newer iPads."

  18. Sustain pedal during Demo/Autoplay

    In the old app version, Demo/Autoplay mode detects the sustain pedal. This means you can test and practice different pedaling ideas without having to be playing the piece at the same time. Brilliant! However, this "feature" is gone from the new app version. Here are some details and examples:

  19. metronome

    metronome volume doesn't hold while the others do. moving around the metronome will revert back to the 80% instead of the previously set volume.

  20. Errant note when practicing chords lesson

    Chords course - G major Triads - lesson 3 There is an errant note that is registered as played when it wasn't while playing the first chord in this lesson rendering it impossible to get 100%.
